446m par 5.
It is a must to hit the fairway here with thick tee trees lining the fairway at driver landing distance, a 3 wood is the smart play for the tee shot.
This will leave the longer hitters with a chance of hitting the green in two, most will opt to lay up just past the fairway bunker leaving a short pitch third into the green.
282m par 4.
This is a classic risk/reward hole. Out of bounds all the way down the right and thick bush on the left with fairway bunker on right side. The prevailing sea breeze makes it very tempting to have a crack at the tiny sloping green, but any wayward tee shots are punished so ideally you want to hit a long/mid iron and leave yourself with about 100m for your 2nd shot which is the widest part of the fairway.
353m par 4.
Slight dogleg left. This is another demanding tee shot with thick tea trees right and thick rough left with a small well protected green. The play here is hit it about 210m off the tee to the fat of the fairway, short of the trouble and leave yourself a full mid iron into the green.
Tee shot for the men is across the golf club entry road, Jarrad Street, so players must take care to avoid vehicles and pedestrians
151m par 3.
Straight into the breeze this normally plays a lot longer than the card says, a short miss is best as the narrow green is surrounded by deep bunkers.
Australian golfing legend Norman Von Nida nominated Sea View’s par three 4th hole as one of the top ten par threes in Australia.
276m par 4.
Short downhill par 4.
The green is hidden from the tee on this hole. A very reachable green for the longer hitters although out of bounds is lurking to the right along with the ever present tea trees makes it a tough tee shot for the average length hitters. A long iron off the tee will put you in position to hit the firm, shallow but wide green.
333m par 4.
The first of two par 4's along the coast with out of bounds on the right and well placed bunkers. Playing into the sea breeze makes it longer, a driver off the tee will leave you with a mid/short iron into the two-tiered small green which demands pin-point accuracy.
346m up hill par 4.
Not a lot of trouble off the tee here except for the road on the right.
A driver off the tee will leave a blind 2nd shot to a double green offering multiple pin positions. You may just see the top of the flag, normally into the wind that plays havoc with the ball. A very tricky shot to a new double green which can leave you with a very long putt. Bail out to the right side as it's an easier chip into the green.
148m par 3.
High tee position normally exposed to the prevailing south westerly sea breeze. Generally a mid iron to a long narrow sloping green, leaving yourself an uphill putt is essential here as it is almost impossible to get a down hill putt to stop near the hole.
416m long par 4.
Hardest hole on the course.
A long drive here is needed to get up the hill to the left hand side of the fairway so you can see the green. A very narrow opening to the front makes it hard to run one up onto the well protected green, so normally required is a short pitch or chip for the 3rd shot.
