Membership Categories

Ordinary Membership Ordinary members shall be entitled to exercise all the rights and privileges of the Club including voting rights. They may play on the course at any time except in competitions they are ineligible for as determined by the Match Committee. Six Day Membership Six day members are entitled to the full privileges of the Clubhouse at any time and the use of the course on every day with the exception of Saturday and other times as determined by the Match Committee. They are entitled to vote at annual or special general meetings and to be elected to positions on the Board but may not be the President or Vice-president and subject to the By-law 2.16.1 they cannot enter major competitions during the year. Life Style Membership Life Style members are entitled to the full privileges of the Clubhouse at any time and the use of the course on every day except in competitions where they are ineligible to play as determined by the Match Committee. Country Membership People who reside not less than 80 kilometres from the Club and who have no regular residence nearer the Club may become country members. Country members have all the rights and privileges of an ordinary member except they may not vote in general meetings or stand for positions on the Board and they shall only be eligible to play in 8 Club competitions per annum. Intermediate Membership Any person over the age of 18 but under the age of 26 on the first of January each year may become an intermediate member. Intermediate members have all the rights and privileges of an ordinary member and may vote at annual and special general meetings and be elected to the Board but may not be President or Vice-president. Social Membership Any person who has attained the age of 18 may become a social member and be entitled to use of the Clubhouse only. A social member may play golf on the course except in Club competitions, on payment of a green fee. |
Junior Membership Any person over the age of 12 and under the age of 18 on the first of January each year may become a junior member. The playing rights of junior members shall be determined by the Match Committee. A junior member shall be entitled to use the Clubhouse but shall only use the licensed area in the company of an adult person in authority over him or her and may only remain while that adult has reasonable refreshment. They may not vote at annual or special general meetings or be elected to the Board. Sunday Membership Sunday members may the the Clubhouse facilities at any time and may use the course on Sundays and Public Holidays except during competitions for which the Match Committee determines they are not eligible. They may not vote at annual or special general meetings or be elected to the Board. Trial Membership The Board may permit an eligible person to become a trial member in any category on payment of a fee determined by the Board depending on the category. On completion of the trial period, which may not exceed six months, the person has the choice of resigning or paying the entrance fee, the balance of the subscription for the year and the bar charges and levy for the category of the membership they wish to join and becoming a member of the Club. 9 Hole Membership Nine hole members are entitled to the full privileges of the Clubhouse at any time but may only use the golf course between Monday and Fridays subject to By-law 2.16.1 Life Membership On the recommendation of the Board to the next Annual General meeting, a member who has rendered outstanding service to the Club may be appointed a life member by resolution passed at that meeting. 2.5.1 There shall be no more than ten living life members at a time. 2.5.2 Life members shall have all the rights and privileges of an ordinary member and shall not be liable to the payment of subscriptions or other compulsory charges. 2.5.3 |
