I was a nominee for the Club Pro of the Year. Unfortunately I didn’t get the job done but it was an absolute honour to mix with my peers, professionals like Adam Scott and Cameron Smith and also members who have been apart of this great organisation for longer than I’ve been alive. Massive shout out to Hannah Green for being awarded the Greg Norman Medal for such a great 2019. You’ve done WA proud. Thanks to my beautiful wife Kara for being by my side and supporting me this year. Bigger and better things to come for 2020. Honorary Secretary - Chris BennettThe second annual Woman’s induction has concluded approximately 36 Woman participated. 16 of which have converted to a playing membership. This was an excellent result. We have several groups of visitors recently, including those in social groups holding memberships at other clubs. They have been very complimentary about the state of our course. 2020 Subscriptions Please contact us as soon as you can advising of us of your intention if you will not be renewing your membership or if you wish to pay your 2020 subscriptions by monthly debit. Those of you who have paid your fees in advance will be pleased to know that your credits for 2020 bar vouchers have been entered onto your bar accounts. The draw for 6 lots of $100 bar vouchers will be held later this month and the results announced at a later date. This is a very busy time for the office as we prepare the annual accounts ready for audit so we would appreciate your cooperation. In accordance with the changes made to the Club's constitution at the 2019 annual general meeting, if you have not paid your fees by now or supplied us with a direct debit form indicating you wish to pay your fees by instalments you can expect to receive an email from us shortly advising that your playing rights have been suspended. We are very reluctant to do this. Sea Horse Squadron Squadron leader Victor Strzina had let the troops on several sorties with the objective of raising the fairway sprinklers to the level of the fairway. The new reticulation piping was put in over 10 years ago and this has been overgrown since then. To date squadron operations have cleared the first and second fairways and 50% of the 9th. Sorties will recommence towards the end of summer. If you want to coin you celebrated squadrons call sign this is your big chance. Sorties are usually conducted on Monday mornings so watch out for announcements. Remembers it's OK not to be OKStu Campbell is a member at the Club and is also one of our 2020 sponsors. Last month Stu also known as MrWallpaper painted one of our trees blue. Why you ask? The tree is to engage people to talk about mental health and ask each other, R U OK? Such a simple question can create an impact that we may not even know about. Next time you are down here at the club (or anywhere for that matter) ask your golfing buddy how they’re doing. Congratulations to Steve Joski on hitting a hole in one!Steve managed to roll it into the 4th hole! well done on your first hole in one! News from the Bar Bar Manager - Jenny GlozaI would like to inform members that there will be a suggestions box placed at the left end of the bar for the month of January. I encourage members and guests to write and place any feedback positive or negative as well as any suggestions or ideas they may have in relation to the Club.
