The following members deserve a mention for their contributions to the Clubs success during August.
Sea Horse Squadron
Led by Squadron leader Victor "MOWER" Strzina, The Squadron has mustered to first clean up the mess left around the BBQ area following the gas line break. Second to remove the Japanese Pepper Tree and thirdly to remove the ivy covered decaying Besser brick wall to the North of the Club house.
Vic's artistic work on the course grass trees has copped a mention in the Post. He also found time to attach the chain to the gap of the Kopper log fence deterring burglars, illegal dumpers, wood thieves and vandals. Lastly he has attached the new anodes to the reticulation water tank, to preserve the tank warranty.
2 new Squadron troopers Steve "JOE" Blake and Bob "LEFTY" Glover earned their call signs.
Jim Birt - Thanks to those members who rallied around Jim to get him off to hospital in an ambulance after he collapsed on course. He is presently convalescing at home undergoing physio therapy.
Stuart Clegg demonstrated his well known improvisation skills in locating a new source of firewood.
Kieth Mathews is keeping up the supply of his home made cakes.
Gerri Ellis replanted the planters at the front entrance to the Club house.
Glennis Bashum has been assisting with the maintenance of the planters.
Marion Gathercole has been working really hard removing stains from our function chairs.

Your contributions are sincerely appreciated. If we have missed anyone, we apologise.

A message from our sponsor - Humphrey Homes
Open House invitation
Humphrey Homes takes pleasure in inviting all members to view its latest completed client home at an exclusive Open House event over the next two weekends.
This is a rare opportunity to step inside a local private home, designed and built by Humphrey Homes. It is open by kind permission of the owners and is inspired by beachside pavilion living with relaxation at its absolute core.
Visit the home at 4b Fraser St, Swanbourne this weekend (14/15 September) as well as 21/22 September between 11am and 3pm, or by appointment.
Owner/Director Dean Humphrey said clients only open homes to the public if they were 100% happy and this one has their full permission.
“This is one of three homes we are opening over the coming months. If you’re thinking of a new lifestyle, come and say hello this weekend or the next,” Dean said.
Check out more on the home here and what this week’s Post Newspaper had to say about the open house event.
